"The Leura" 2 Band Finest Badger Shave Brush
The Stray Whisker is proud to present, in limited number, "The Leura" 2 Band Finest Badger Brush.

The design of the handle gives recognition to the spectacular erosion patterns at the local lookout, Tarpeian Rock which happens to be a short walk from our store through Leura Park to Cliff Drive. 

In fact, the lookout is widely considered to be one of the best spots in Leura to photograph a sunrise!

Available in two colours Faux Ivory which is a nod to the spectacular sunrises at the rock, and Sunset (not quite butterscotch) which represents the wonderful sunsets at the Leura lookout. 

This shave brush has been made using a high-quality Fine badger knot. 

The brush exhibits excellent flow-through.

Our 2 Band brush has a loft of approximately 50mm and possess excellent backbone, and is ideal for those who enjoy face lathering.

The size and density of our fan-shaped knot loads soap from a wide surface area and helps in building a voluminous lather, especially from soft shave cream. Having said that, the shorter than usual loft for this brush makes it an excellent choice for hard shave soap as well.

What can I say, at 62 years young, this has to be, by far, the best shaving brush I’ve ever owned. It’s as soft as a skinned kitten and foams up second to none. So happy for my purchase, badgers rock 😜

For the price, I don't think you can find a better quality brush. The handle is solidly built, hefty and has the perfect weight. Really nice colour too. Its knot is exceptional. I don't know where do they get them from, but let me tell you, this knot is the ultimate shaver's knot. It's stiff, lathers every triple-milled soap in a heartbeat and yet, it's so smooth and soft on your face. Absolutely exceptional. I told Con he should get the same quality knot in 28mm+, but now that I've used the brush extensively I have to say the size is perfect as it is; it's a fan shape 26mm badger that also blooms when wet, any bigger than this and it's gonna be unusable. What I do have to propose is getting their source to make these knots 10-15% denser. That would be the brush to end any SBAD (for me at least)... All in all, just get this brush! Well done Con!

Wow! What a brush, not only does it look sexy, the performance is outstanding. I didn't notice a hint of odour, easy to load up soft hairs but yet this brush has back bone. Fully splayed it can cover half your face whilst lathering, it also has a generous weight to it, "The Leura" is like looking at a sunset, an absolute delight to use!
