Rhodia Touch Wirebound Watercolour Book – Cold Pressed Paper, A6 Landscape
A pocket-sized watercolour book built for proper paper, not a travel compromise. The Rhodia Touch wirebound book pairs a compact A6 landscape format (148 x 105mm) with genuine 300gsm (140lb) cold pressed cotton paper, made by Fontaine in the Netherlands. It's small enough to carry everywhere and substantial enough to handle real watercolour work: washes, layering, lifting colour back out, the usual demands of painting outside a studio.
Paper that behaves like paper should
The paper is 100% cotton, which means it holds up to repeated wetting without the surface breaking down or pilling. Cold pressed texture gives you a light tooth, enough grain to hold pigment and create texture in a wash, but not so rough that fine detail becomes difficult. It's acid-free, pH neutral and free of optical brighteners, so your work stays true to colour and the paper won't yellow or degrade over time. Each of the 20 sheets is full, uncut and non-microperforated, giving you a stable surface to paint right up to the wire binding.
Built to survive a bag, not just a desk
The wirebound format lets the book lie completely flat when open, which matters when you're balancing it on a knee or a narrow café table. A black fabric hardcover protects the pages front and back, with the Rhodia Touch logo embossed into the cover rather than printed on top, so it won't wear off with handling. Black paper on the front and back pages adds a clean, finished look and a bit of extra protection for the sheets underneath.
