STAEDTLER Mixed Set #5 Floral Watercolour Set
Everything you need to start painting delicate floral watercolours, put together in one considered set. STAEDTLER's Mixed Set #5 brings together eight double-ended watercolour brush pens, a pigment liner, a watercolour pencil, a pre-filled water brush and an art eraser, so you can go from a blank page to a finished piece without hunting down separate supplies.
The eight brush pens are double-ended, giving you a fine tip for detail work on one end and a flexible brush tip on the other for laying down colour and blending it out with water. They work on most watercolour papers and are water-soluble, so colours lift and merge the way traditional watercolour paint does, without the mess of a paint palette.
For outlines and fine detail, the set includes a STAEDTLER pigment liner 308. It's designed to define and accentuate your subject before or after painting, and its pigment-based ink won't bleed or smear once your watercolour washes go down around it.
The Mars Lumograph aquarell 100A pencil adds another dimension to the set. It's a graphite drawing pencil that turns watery once you brush water over it, so pencil strokes soften into shading and shadow rather than staying as hard lines. The pencil is made from PEFC-certified wood, sourced from forests managed to recognised environmental and social standards.
Water doesn't need to be mixed or carried separately. The water brush 949 is pre-filled and designed to release water at a controlled, even rate as you paint, which makes blending the brush pens and the aquarell pencil straightforward even if you're new to watercolour technique.
Rounding out the set is the STAEDTLER art eraser 526 B30-9C, for cleaning up pencil guidelines without damaging the paper surface underneath.
Everything arrives in a cardboard box with a window, so you can see the pens inside before you open it, and it's designed to hang on a display hook if you're buying it as a gift. Step-by-step instructions and application tips are printed on the back of the packaging, which makes this a genuinely useful set for someone picking up watercolour painting for the first time, not just a nice-looking box of pens.
What's included:
A well-rounded gift for anyone with an interest in botanical or floral art, and a practical starting point for beginners who want quality materials without having to piece a kit together themselves.
