STAEDTLER Mars micro carbon 250 leads are a dependable choice for mechanical pencils, whether you write all day or only reach for one now and then. The fine carbon formulation lays down a clean, even line and holds its point through long sessions. It is smooth enough for notes and forms, and firm enough for careful drawing and technical work.
The leads come in 0.5 mm and 0.7 mm diameters, each in HB and 2B grades. HB is a medium grade, close to the everyday pencil most people know, and suits writing, labelling and general note-taking. 2B is softer and darker, with more tone and shading, which makes it better for sketching and quick drawing. The 0.5 mm lead suits small, precise handwriting and detailed work. The 0.7 mm lead is sturdier and less likely to snap under firm pressure.
