A sketchpad built for paper that can take more than one kind of mark. The Rhodia Touch Mixed Media Sketchpad pairs Clairefontaine's Paint'On paper with a protective black cover, giving you a single pad that moves between pencil studies, ink work and the occasional wash of gouache or acrylic without buckling or bleeding through.
The paper itself is the reason this pad exists. Paint'On is a 250gsm, 100% cellulose sheet with a very light grain, developed specifically for mixed media work. That weight and surface mean it absorbs wet media without warping and holds up to dry techniques like pencil, charcoal and felt tip without the tooth wearing down too fast. It's acid free and PEFC certified, so finished pieces won't yellow or degrade over time.
Each pad is glued along the top edge and backed with a canvas spine, so sheets stay firmly in place while you're working but come away cleanly along the microperforation when a piece is ready to be removed, matted or handed over. The cover is a scored, rigid Maya black card embossed with the Rhodia Touch logo, doubling as a stiff support surface when you're sketching away from a desk or table.
At A4+ (21 x 31.8cm), the format gives you enough room for detailed studies or looser mixed media pieces while still being compact enough to carry in a satchel or art tote.
