The Printworks Aquarelle Paper Padis built around that understanding. Each pad contains 15 sheets of ivory white paper milled to 300gsm, a weight substantial enough to absorb water generously without warping under multiple washes.
The surface is hot-pressed, meaning it has been passed through heated rollers to produce a smooth, tight finish.
This is the surface of choice for detailed line work, fine botanical illustration, and controlled colour gradients - anywhere that precision matters more than dramatic texture.
The sheets measure 21 x 30cm, the A4 format, which makes this pad genuinely practical. It fits comfortably on a desk or a lap, travels well, and keeps your work consistent in scale - useful if you are building a series or working alongside other A4 reference materials.
The paper itself carries FSC certification, which means the fibre used in production comes from responsibly managed forests. It is ivory white rather than stark white, a tone that is easier on the eye during long sessions and gives watercolour washes a slightly warmer ground to settle into.
