The Design

Rytmo takes its name from the contrast at the heart of its design: a simple, tapered handle set against the sharp lines of a brilliant chrome-plated base. The handles here are made from steamed ash, a hardwood native to Europe that's heated to a high temperature during production.

This process deepens the timber's natural brown colour, brings out the grain, and makes the wood considerably more water resistant. The surface is oiled rather than lacquered, which keeps the wood looking and feeling natural while still protecting it for daily use in a wet bathroom. The stand has a plastic insert fitted into the chrome base, so the brush and razor sit securely without scratching against metal.

The Brush
The brush head is made from pure badger hair, sourced for its density and texture. It's firmer than silvertip or fine badger hair but noticeably softer and more flexible than synthetic or boar bristle, which makes it well suited to both working up a rich lather and giving the skin a gentle exfoliating massage as you apply it. Each brush head is machine finished to MÜHLE's manufacturing standards in Germany.

The Razor
The razor carries Gillette's Fusion five-blade cartridge system, a straightforward, beginner-friendly option for anyone moving away from disposable razors without committing to a traditional safety razor just yet. The five blades are set to reduce the pressure needed per stroke, and a precision trimmer blade along the edge of the cartridge handles sideburns, the nose, and other tight areas.
