Each sheet is printed on Midori's own letterpress machines using metal relief plates, a printing method that's been around for roughly 500 years. The pressure of the plate presses into the paper, leaving a visible, tactile indent rather than a flat printed line. A note on writing tools
Because the paper has a slightly soft, absorbent finish suited to letterpress printing, fountain pen ink can feather a touch depending on your ink and nib. A fine-point fountain pen or a water-based felt-tip will give the cleanest results. This paper isn't designed to go through an inkjet printer
