Kent PF20 Large Quill Detangling Brush

Who it is for
This brush is made for thick, shoulder-length to long hair worn dry. If your hair tangles easily, if pulling a brush through it at the end of the day causes breakage or discomfort, or if you have been relying on a comb to manage knots, the PF20 is worth considering. How it works
The head is air-cushioned, meaning the bristle plate sits on a flexible rubber pad rather than a rigid base. This allows the quills to move slightly as they meet resistance, which reduces the force transferred to the scalp and the root.
The result is a brush that can work through a knot from the outside in without yanking. The nylon quills are large and rounded at the tips.
They glide between strands rather than catching on them, which makes a practical difference when working through the kind of tangles that accumulate in long or thick hair through the course of a day.
Materials and construction
The handle is turned from beechwood, a dense and durable timber with a satisfying weight in the hand. A rubber grip section on the handle gives purchase when you are working through resistant hair.

A note on care
Remove hair from the quills regularly using a comb or the Kent brush cleaner. Avoid prolonged exposure to water or heat, and do not leave the brush resting on its cushioned head. With reasonable care, a Kent brush will remain serviceable for years.
