Kent PF06 Narrow Bristle Nylon Mix Hairbrush

G.B. Kent & Sons has been making brushes since 1777, holding a Royal Warrant as brush makers by appointment to His Majesty the King. The PF06 is part of that same lineage: a narrow, purpose-built hairbrush designed specifically for smoothing and finishing short to medium length hair.

The handle is turned from beechwood and fitted with a rubber grip section for comfortable, controlled use. At 217mm overall, with a handle length of 105mm and a head width of just 38mm, it sits neatly in the hand and works well for getting close to the scalp, working through sections, or finishing the nape of the neck.

The bristle bed combines natural bristle with nylon. The natural bristle draws oils from the scalp along the hair shaft, which is what gives brushed hair its natural lustre. The nylon filaments add resilience and help the brush move cleanly through the hair without snagging. Together, they make for a brush that smooths without pulling, and leaves hair with a healthy, natural finish rather than a stiff or styled look.

This brush suits short to medium hair well, including fine to medium textures. If your hair is very thick, curly, or prone to knotting, you may find the bristle mix too soft for your needs. For those with straight, wavy, or slightly layered hair looking to smooth, tame, and add polish to their daily routine, the PF06 does exactly what it should.
