Kent PF20 Perfect for De-tangling Large Quill Brush
Kent has been making brushes in England since 1777, and holds a Royal Warrant. The PF20 sits within their accessible Perfect For range, but it carries the same considered construction that has made Kent a fixture in dressing rooms for well over two centuries.
The PF20 is a narrow-profile de-tangling brush designed specifically for thick, shoulder-length or long dry hair. Where a wide paddle brush can overpower dense or tangled hair, this narrower format gives you more control, letting you work through sections methodically without pulling at the root.
The handle is turned from beechwood with a rubberised grip along the shaft. It sits comfortably in the hand during extended brushing, which matters more than it might sound when you're working through knots in thick hair.
The head uses an air-cushioned base, which means it flexes and yields slightly as it moves across the scalp rather than applying direct rigid pressure.
The quills themselves are large-gauge nylon, smooth-tipped, and spaced generously enough to pass through tangles rather than compress them.
This is a dry-use brush. It's not designed for wet de-tangling, but for working through hair once it's been towel-dried or for everyday maintenance brushing. The narrow 38mm width makes it particularly useful for anyone who likes to brush in sections, or for getting close to the nape of the neck and the hairline.
It also travels well. At 220mm overall length with a 100mm handle, it fits into a toiletry bag without the footprint of a full paddle brush, and several reviewers have noted it as a reliable travel companion.
