The Paper
Inside, 32 lined pages are printed on 120g ivory paper. This is a meaningfully heavy stock. At 120g, the paper holds ink well across most writing instruments, including fountain pens, without the bleed-through or feathering that undermines lighter papers. The ivory tone is easy on the eye and gives inks a warmer, richer appearance than bright white paper, particularly relevant if you are working with shaded or chromatically complex inks.
Construction
The notebook is thread-stitched by hand, following traditional bookbinding methods. Thread stitching is the proper way to bind a notebook intended for real use. It keeps the pages flat when open, allows the book to flex naturally without cracking the spine, and ensures the leaves stay firmly anchored over time. A glued spine does neither of these things as reliably.
The soft cover format makes it practical for travel and everyday carry. At A5 (148 x 210 mm), it sits comfortably in a bag, opens flat on a desk, and gives you enough writing space to work without feeling cramped.
A Note on Fountain Pen Compatibility
The 120gsm ivory paper in this notebook handles fountain pen ink with composure. You are unlikely to encounter significant bleed-through under normal writing conditions, though as with all papers, results can vary slightly with very wet nibs or highly saturated inks. For most fountain pen users, this is paper you can write on without thinking twice.
