The Maison Herbin was established in Paris in 1670, when Louis XIV still had decades left on the throne. Both intense and luminous, it draws its inspiration from the wild shores of the great river of South America - a green that reads as genuinely alive on the page rather than simply decorative. Each cartridge is the long European international size, measuring 7.3cm and holding approximately 2 ml of ink - a step up from standard short cartridges in both capacity and convenience. A few practical notes worth knowing: this ink should not be mixed with other inks in the same pen. Before inserting a new cartridge, rinse the pen thoroughly to remove any traces of the previous ink. If the pen is to be left unused for an extended period, empty and rinse it before storing.
