Edwin Jagger 3ONE6 Stainless Steel DE Safety Razor - Red

The 3ONE6 is an excellent razor (I own 3 of them, blue, knurled and the latest purchase, red). It's very well made, works very well with a wide variety of blade brands and produces a close shave (I judge razor aggression by how many passes to get a BBS shave, two with the 3ONE6, one WTG pass and then one ATG pass). Good value for money, highly recommended.

The 3one6 was touted as being a more efficient DE89 with better craftsmanship and to that end it does not disappoint. The geometry of the head allows are smooth feel when head shaving yet is more efficient than my aggressive open combs (high end stainless razors - at more than twice the price each of the 3one6). The 3one6 made light work of close to two weeks growth on my head (upto 5mm, average 3-4mm) on the first pass with no bleeders. However it was the second pass against the grain that this razor shone. The result was nothing short of baby bum smooth with no bleeders or razor burn (i did use it on my neck that is prone to a bit of burn). A feature i love of this razor is the horizontal grooves across the safety bar, this helped keep my skin taught.
