Let's Plant Vegetables is adapted from Cultivons notre potager - a poster designed by French schoolchildren during the First World War, as part of a national effort to encourage wartime self-sufficiency.

Published under the direction of a French economic planning committee and now held in the Library of Congress, the original artwork carries a quiet sense of purpose and communal spirit that feels just as relevant today. 

It makes for a greeting card with genuine character — something to give to the gardener, the history lover, the person who appreciates things with a story behind them.

Printed and made in England

The card is printed in the West Country of England on a warm, light cream 300gsm paper - a carbon-neutral Italian stock made from 100% recycled post-consumer waste. The weight and texture of it matter: this isn't flimsy. It sits flat, prints beautifully, and feels considered in the hand.
