What you get
Each set contains 25 acid-free, archival-quality postcards printed on sturdy 400 gsm card stock. That weight is substantial, closer to watercolour paper than greeting card stock, and it holds its shape rather than curling under wet media.
The cards measure approximately 15.2cm wide by 10.2cm high, a standard postcard format that sits comfortably in the hand and travels through the mail without fuss.
The surface
The fine-tooth surface is designed for precise line work with no ink bleed, and performs well across both dry and wet media. In practice, that means you can work with graphite, coloured pencil, pastel, pen and ink, gel pen, light watercolour washes, watercolour crayons, or ink stamps and get clean, controlled results.
The rounded corners resist damage in transit, which matters when the finished work is going in the post.
Front and back
The front of each card is entirely blank, leaving the full surface open for your artwork or design. The reverse is lined for addressing and includes space for your personal message, your recipient's address, your return address, and a stamp. Everything is laid out with quiet restraint so the card reads properly once it arrives.
